- 8 sheets phyllo dough, thawed if frozen
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup honey
- 1 1/2 cups sliced almonds, toasted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean work surface and brush with melted butter. Top with another sheet of phyllo and brush with more butter.
- Cut the layered phyllo dough into 6 equal strips, each about 3 inches wide.
- Place 1-2 tablespoons of the honey-almond mixture at the end of each strip. Fold the dough over the filling, then continue to roll up the strip into a cigar shape.
- Place the Moroccan Honey Almond Cigars seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
