Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh fireweed blossoms
- 2 cups white sugar
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the fireweed blossoms, sugar, and water. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the syrup simmer for 15-20 minutes to infuse the flavor.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing on solids to extract liquid.
- Transfer the strained syrup to a clean jar or bottle and let cool completely before sealing and refrigerating.
Notes
- Use fresh fireweed blossoms for the best flavor.
- Store syrup in the refrigerator for up to a month.
