- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons capers, drained
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the garlic and capers and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Stir in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the White Wine Lemon Caper Sauce immediately over cooked chicken, fish, or pasta.
