Rose-Shaped Potato Gratin Stacks are visually captivating and delicious. Layers of thinly sliced potatoes create elegant rose-shaped bites, baked in a rich, creamy gratin.

- 3 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced potatoes, heavy cream, Gruyère cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Toss gently to coat the potatoes.
- Grease a 12-cup muffin tin. Arrange the potato slices vertically in the muffin cups, starting from the outer edge and working your way in to form a rose shape.
- Pour any remaining cream mixture from the bowl over the potatoes in the muffin cups.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the tops are golden brown.
- Allow the Rose-Shaped Potato Gratin Stacks to cool for 5-10 minutes before carefully removing them from the muffin tin.
- Serve warm, garnished with additional fresh thyme if desired.

- Use a mandoline for even slicing of potatoes.
