- 2 pounds beef sirloin or flank steaks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Pat the steaks dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large, oven-safe skillet over high heat. Sear the steaks for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, or until steaks reach desired doneness.
- Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine the mint, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and 1/4 cup olive oil. Stir to mix well.
- Slice the steaks and top with the mint gremolata before serving.
