Description

A delicious and healthy banana bread recipe enhanced with protein powder, perfect for a post-workout snack or a nutritious breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup protein powder (whey or plant-based)
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas.
  3. Add the protein powder, almond milk, applesauce, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix well.
  4. Stir in the baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. If using, fold in the chopped nuts or chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the protein banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
