Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ribeye steak or ground beef (thinly sliced or crumbled)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Casserole Base:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Toppings:

  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

Step1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray.

Step2: Cook the Steak and Vegetables

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add steak or ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Cook until browned, then remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions, bell peppers, and garlic until soft and fragrant.

Step3: Prepare the Creamy Base

  1. In a bowl, whisk together cream cheese, heavy cream, eggs, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder until smooth.
  2. Pour this mixture into the cooked beef and veggie mixture, stirring to combine.

Step4: Assemble the Casserole

  1. Spread the beef mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  2. Top with provolone and mozzarella cheese.

Step5: Bake to Perfection

  1. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  2. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving

Notes

  • Use high-quality steak: Ribeye offers the best flavor, but sirloin is a great alternative.
  • For extra creaminess, add a splash of heavy cream before baking.
  • Want a spicy kick? Add a dash of red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
