- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Casserole Base:
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Toppings:
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Step1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray.
Step2: Cook the Steak and Vegetables
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add steak or ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Cook until browned, then remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions, bell peppers, and garlic until soft and fragrant.
Step3: Prepare the Creamy Base
- In a bowl, whisk together cream cheese, heavy cream, eggs, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Pour this mixture into the cooked beef and veggie mixture, stirring to combine.
Step4: Assemble the Casserole
- Spread the beef mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Top with provolone and mozzarella cheese.
Step5: Bake to Perfection
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving
Notes
- Use high-quality steak: Ribeye offers the best flavor, but sirloin is a great alternative.
- For extra creaminess, add a splash of heavy cream before baking.
- Want a spicy kick? Add a dash of red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
