- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup crushed candy canes or peppermint candies
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional for drizzling)
Instructions
- Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and chocolate together in a saucepan or microwave until smooth.
- Stir in sugar, then whisk in eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Fold dry ingredients gently into wet mixture.
- Stir in vanilla and peppermint extract.
- Spread batter evenly in pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes.
- Sprinkle crushed candy canes on top while brownies are warm.
- Let brownies cool completely before slicing into squares.
