Instructions

- Stir in 1 tsp vanilla or almond extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in 1/4 cup colorful nonpareil sprinkles gently.
- Drop rounded balls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
- Press each ball down slightly for a flatter cookie, if desired.
