For Homemade Version:
- 1 (8-count) can refrigerated crescent roll dough, chilled
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- ¼ cup thick pizza sauce, divided
- ¼–½ cup chopped pepperoni, divided
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
- Remove Hot Pockets from freezer and packaging. Do NOT thaw. Lightly spray with cooking oil if desired.
- Place Hot Pockets in air fryer basket with at least 1 inch between them.
- Cook at 400°F for 6-8 minutes, flipping once at the 4-minute mark.
- Let rest for 2 minutes before eating to allow filling to settle and prevent burns.
For Homemade:
- Separate crescent dough into 4 rectangles (2 triangles each). Press perforations to seal.
- Place 2 tablespoons mozzarella, 1 tablespoon sauce, and desired pepperoni on one half of each rectangle, leaving ½-inch border.
- Fold dough over filling, crimp edges with fork. Brush with egg wash.
- Cook at 370°F for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Pierce 2-3 diagonal vents in hot pockets before cooking to prevent explosions
- Do not stack hot pockets – cook in batches if needed
- Internal temperature should reach 165°F for food safety
- Different air fryer models may require slight temperature adjustments
- Frozen hot pockets actually cook better than thawed ones
- For extra crispy results, add 1-2 minutes to cooking time
- Store leftovers in airtight container for up to 3-4 days
- Reheat at 350°F for 3-4 minutes to maintain crispiness
