A comforting and easy Hamburger Green Bean Casserole, perfect for a weeknight family dinner. This ground beef casserole with green beans and french fried onions is a delicious one-dish meal.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cans (10.5 ounce each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cans (14.5 ounce each) green beans, drained
- 1 can (6 ounce) french fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Add the drained green beans and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Top evenly with the french fried onions.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and the onions are golden brown.
Notes
- For a cheesier version, add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese with the soup mixture.
- You can substitute cream of celery soup for cream of mushroom soup.
- Fresh green beans can be used, but they will need to be blanched before adding to the casserole.
