Spookily Sweet Ghost-Themed Dessert Recipes for Halloween That Kids Adore

Ingredients

Scale
  • White chocolate or candy melts – for coating and dipping
  • Mini marshmallows – for ghost bodies or toppers
  • Cake mix or brownie mix – for easy dessert bases
  • Powdered sugar & egg whites – for meringue ghosts
  • Bananas or strawberries – for healthy ghost-themed options
  • Black icing or candy eyes – for spooky faces
  • Graham crackers or cookies – for edible bases
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries (washed and dried completely)
  • 10 oz white chocolate chips or candy melts
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for smooth texture)
  • Mini chocolate chips or black decorating gel (for eyes)

Instructions

  1. Heat white chocolate in a microwave or double boiler until smooth. Stir in coconut oil if desired for shine.
  2. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip to create a ghost “tail.”
  3. Place on parchment paper and add two mini chocolate chips or candy eyes before chocolate sets.
  4. Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until firm, then serve chilled or at room temperature.
  5. Ghost Meringues – bake airy meringue ghosts.
  6. Banana Ghosts – dip banana halves in white chocolate.
  7. Ghost Cupcakes – pipe frosting ghosts on top of cupcakes.
  8. Ghost Pretzel Rods – dip pretzels in white candy melts.
  9. Ghost Marshmallow Pops – marshmallows on sticks with eyes.
