Ingredients
Scale
For the Steak:
- 1 ½ lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Step1: Prepare the Steak
- Cut the sirloin steak into bite-sized cubes.
- Pat them dry with a paper towel (this helps get a good sear).
- Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
Step2: Heat the Skillet
- Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot and shimmering, add the steak cubes in a single layer.
Step3: Sear the Steak
- Let the steak cook for 2-3 minutes without stirring to get a nice crust.
- Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Step4: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium-low.
- Add butter and let it melt.
- Stir in the minced garlic, thyme, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step5: Combine & Serve
- Return the steak bites to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately!
Notes
- Choose the right cut: Sirloin, ribeye, or filet mignon work best.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan: Cook in batches if needed.
- Use high heat: This helps achieve a perfect sear.
