Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or thinly sliced ribeye for authentic flavor)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese (or mozzarella)
  • 8 oz penne pasta (or any pasta of choice)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Optional Add-ins:

  • Mushrooms – Add sliced mushrooms for extra umami flavor.
  • Jalapeños – If you love a spicy kick!
  • Cheese Variations – Try American cheese, cheddar, or Swiss.

Instructions

Step1: Cook the Pasta

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step2: Sauté the Beef and Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.

Once browned, remove the beef and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté onions, bell peppers, and garlic until soft and fragrant.

Step3: Make the Cheese Sauce

Pour beef broth and heavy cream into the skillet. Stir in Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, and additional salt and pepper. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.

Step4: Combine Everything

Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir in the cooked pasta. Lower the heat and add shredded provolone cheese, stirring continuously until melted and creamy.

Step5: Serve and Enjoy!

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot! Pair with garlic bread or a crisp salad for the ultimate dinner experience.

Notes

  • Use fresh ingredients – Fresh bell peppers and onions enhance the flavor.
  • Choose the right cheese – Provolone, mozzarella, or even white American cheese work best.
  • Don’t overcook the pasta – Keep it al dente for the perfect bite.
  • Adjust seasoning – Add more Worcestershire sauce for extra umami.
