Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 large chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Add-Ins for Extra Flavor:

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (for a spicy kick)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (for a tangy balance)
  • 1 cup baby spinach (for added nutrition)

Instructions

Step1: Prepare the Chicken

  • Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create thin cutlets.
  • Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.

Step2: Sear the Chicken

  • Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add chicken cutlets and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step3: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tbsp butter.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes.

Step4: Add Cream & Cheese

  • Lower heat and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
  • Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until the sauce thickens.

Step5: Combine & Serve

  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the top.
  • Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot!

Notes

  • Use Fresh Garlic: Freshly minced garlic delivers the best flavor. Avoid pre-minced jars.
  • Don’t Overcook the Chicken: Thin cutlets cook fast! Use a thermometer and remove at 165°F (74°C).
  • Adjust the Thickness: If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of chicken broth. If too thin, let it simmer longer.
