Ingredients
Scale
For the Salmon & Shrimp:
- 2 salmon fillets (skin-on, fresh or frozen)
- 8 large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup parmesan cheese (grated)
- ½ cup chicken broth (or seafood stock)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
Garnish (Optional but Recommended):
- Fresh parsley (chopped)
- Grated parmesan cheese
- Lemon wedges
Instructions
Step1: Season and Sear the Salmon
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon, skin-side down.
- Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side or until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
Step2: Cook the Shrimp
- In the same pan, add butter and let it melt.
- Add the shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes per side until they turn pink. Remove and set aside with the salmon.
Step3: Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
- Stir in heavy cream, parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Add lemon juice and red pepper flakes (if using).
Step4: Combine Everything
- Return the salmon and shrimp to the pan, spooning the sauce over them.
- Let everything simmer for 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra parmesan cheese.
Notes
- Use Fresh Seafood – Fresh wild-caught salmon and jumbo shrimp yield the best texture.
- Don’t Overcook the Salmon – Aim for an internal temperature of 125-130°F for perfectly juicy salmon.
- Let the Sauce Thicken – Simmering for an extra 1-2 minutes helps create a luxurious texture.
