  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle maker.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, buttermilk, melted butter, and vegetable oil.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
