Description

This easy slow cooker Salisbury steak meatballs recipe combines frozen meatballs with a savory gravy made from beef broth, brown gravy mix, and onion soup mix. It’s a comforting and convenient meal perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (26 oz) frozen meatballs (about 3035 meatballs)
  • 2 cups reduced-sodium beef broth
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen meatballs in the slow cooker.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the beef broth, brown gravy mix, onion soup mix, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  3. Pour the gravy mixture over the meatballs in the slow cooker and stir gently to coat.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until meatballs are heated through and tender.
  5. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, mix cornstarch and cold water in a small bowl to create a slurry. Add to the slow cooker and stir. Continue cooking for 30 minutes to thicken the gravy.
  6. Serve the Salisbury steak meatballs over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
