Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Filling
A medium-sized bowl in a medium bowl, mix creamy cream cheese softened, sugar powdered along with vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth. This filling is creamy and will make each bite a deliciously rich center.
Step 2: Prepare the Dough
In a separate bowl, mix together cocoa powder, flour as well as granulated sugar, salt, and baking powder. Then, gradually add dairy and the butter that has been melted in the mix with dry ingredients and stir until a dough that is soft forms. If it is sticky, add more flour.
Step 3: Shape the Bombs
The dough is divided into 10- 12 pieces. Each piece of dough should be flattened into a disc, then place the cream cheese mixture in the middle. The dough is then folded around the filling, pressing the edges together to create the shape of a ball.
Step 4: Fry to Perfection
The oil is heated in a deep fry pan on medium-high temperature. Fry each doughball till golden, around 3-4 minutes per side. For even cook, flip each churro bite half way throughout the cooking.
Step 5: Roll in Cinnamon Sugar
In a shallow bowl combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.. When the churro balls remain warm, wrap each one in the mixture of cinnamon sugar to coat evenly. Serve right away for the most delicious flavor and texture!
Notes
- Maintain the Temperature of the Oil stable: A medium-high heat about 350 degrees Fahrenheit is the ideal temperature for cooking. Use a kitchen thermometer when it is possible to avoid burning.
- Seal well: Make sure each ball is sealed well to stop your cream cheese mixture from spilling out during the cooking.
- Roll Fastly: Coat the churro bombs with cinnamon sugar right away after they have been cooked to ensure the sugar stays in place.
