- 4 chicken sausages (any brand or flavor, pre-cooked or raw)
- 4 sprays oil spray of choice
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
- Remove chicken sausages from packaging and pat completely dry with paper towels. Pierce each sausage 2-3 times with a fork to prevent bursting.
- Lightly spray sausages with oil spray (1 spray per sausage). Place sausages in air fryer basket with space between each link.
- Air fry at 400°F for 5 minutes.
- Using tongs, carefully flip each sausage.
- Continue cooking for 4-5 more minutes until all sides achieve deep golden-brown color and internal temperature reaches 165°F for pre-cooked varieties, 175°F for raw.
- Remove sausages and let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For frozen sausages, add 3-4 minutes to cooking time (no thawing needed)
- For raw sausages, cook at 380°F for 12-15 minutes total
- Don’t overcrowd the basket – cook in batches if needed
- Some air fryers run hot – reduce to 380°F if yours tends to burn food
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure safe internal temperature
- Breakfast sausages (smaller links) only need 6-7 minutes total
