Description

A classic and creamy Chicken Alfredo Pasta recipe, perfect for a comforting meal. This easy chicken alfredo is a crowd-pleaser.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fettuccine pasta
  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  3. Add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Add the drained fettuccine to the skillet with the chicken and sauce. Toss to coat evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until it reaches your desired consistency.
  7. Serve the creamy chicken pasta immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Add cooked broccoli or peas for extra vegetables.
  • Ensure chicken is cooked through before adding to the sauce.
