- 12 oz (340 g) linguine pasta
- 1 pound (450 g) ground beef
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup (120 g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (90 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup (120 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook until al dente. Drain, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Season the beef with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Gradually add Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked linguine to the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce. Add reserved pasta water if needed for desired consistency.
- Optional: Garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can thicken the sauce by simmering it longer or adding more cheese.
- Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
