Ingredients

Scale

Chicken & Seasoning

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or 4 small ones)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for spice)

Cheese & Garnish

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

Step1: Prepare the Chicken

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
  • Season both sides with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

Step2: Sear the Chicken

  • Heat 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

Step3: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tbsp butter.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, stirring to deglaze the pan.
  • Simmer for 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Step4: Add the Cheese & Bake

  • Return the chicken to the skillet.
  • Sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  • Cover with a lid and cook on low heat until the cheese is melted, or transfer to an oven preheated to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.

Step5: Garnish & Serve

  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley for a pop of color.
  • Serve hot with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor in your butter sauce.
  • Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness to ensure even cooking.
  • For extra richness, add a splash of heavy cream to the sauce.
  • Want it spicier? Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or extra red pepper flakes
