- 1 cup cold milk
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping, thawed
- 1 prepared pound cake or vanilla cake, cut into cubes (about 4 cups)
- ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping
- Crushed gingersnap cookies or chopped pecans (optional)
- Pumpkin pie spice for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk pumpkin puree, pudding mix, spices, vanilla, and cold milk until smooth. Let sit 5 minutes to thicken. Fold in whipped topping until light and creamy.
- Cut cooled pound cake or vanilla cake into bite-sized cubes and set aside.
- In a glass trifle dish, layer cake cubes, pumpkin mousse, caramel drizzle, and whipped topping. Repeat until the dish is full, ending with whipped topping on top.
- Sprinkle crushed gingersnaps, pecans, or pumpkin spice on top. Drizzle with caramel and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
