- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese
- ½ cup (120 ml) caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Beat softened cream cheese in a medium bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Mix in a tablespoon of caramel sauce into the cream cheese.
- Refrigerate the cream cheese filling for about 15 minutes.
- Scoop a portion of cookie dough and flatten it slightly in your hand.
- Place a teaspoon of cream cheese filling in the center and fold the dough around it.
- Roll the dough into a ball and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are soft.
