This Cajun Alfredo Sauce is a bold, creamy twist on the classic Alfredo. It blends rich Parmesan, smooth heavy cream, garlic, and zesty Cajun seasoning for a perfectly balanced sauce with heat and depth.

- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (optional, for thickening)
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (if adding sautéed veggies or shrimp)
- Chopped onions or bell peppers
- Cooked chicken, shrimp, or tofu
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Extra crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant.
- Whisk in the flour and cook 1–2 minutes to form a roux.
- Slowly whisk in heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook 3–4 minutes, stirring often.
- Add Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust heat or salt as desired.
- Reduce heat and stir in grated Parmesan until smooth and creamy.
- Mix in sautéed onions, peppers, chicken, shrimp, or tofu if using.
- Toss with pasta, spoon over chicken or veggies, or use as a dipping sauce. Garnish with parsley.
