Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 tablespoon whipping cream
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon pure peppermint extract
  • 14 drops food coloring

Instructions

  1. Combine powdered sugar and softened butter in a mixing bowl.
  2. Beat the mixture until creamy and smooth.
  3. Gradually add peppermint extract.
  4. Incorporate a drop or two of green food coloring if desired.
  5. Mix until the dough-like consistency is achieved; add milk if too dry.
  6. Roll small portions into bite-sized balls, about the size of a marble.
  7. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet with space in between.
  8. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  9. Roll each mint in granulated sugar until fully coated.
  10. Return coated mints to the baking sheet.
  11. Allow mints to set at room temperature for at least one hour.
