Ingredients

  • 8 slices of crusty bread
  • 8 ounces of brie cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup of fresh blackberries
  • 1/2 cup of fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Arrange the slices of bread on a flat surface. Place the brie slices evenly on 4 of the bread slices.
  3. Top the brie with the fresh blackberries and basil leaves.
  4. Place the remaining 4 bread slices on top to create 4 sandwiches.
  5. Melt the butter in the preheated skillet or griddle.
  6. Carefully place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove the sandwiches from the heat and let cool for a minute before serving.
