Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken & Pasta:

  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 2 large chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Cowboy Butter Sauce:

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

Step1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the linguine pasta until al dente (about 9-11 minutes).
  2. Drain and set aside.

Step2: Prepare the Chicken

  1. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove from the pan and slice thinly.

Step3: Make the Cowboy Butter Sauce

  1. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté the garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add red pepper flakes, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice. Stir well.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, then let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.

Step4: Combine & Serve

  1. Toss the cooked linguine into the sauce, coating it evenly.
  2. Add the sliced chicken and mix well.
  3. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic – It gives the sauce a deep, rich flavor.
  • Don’t overcook the pasta – Keep it al dente for the best texture.
  • Make it spicy – Add extra red pepper flakes for more heat.
