Description

This Banana Chocolate Chip Almond Flour Bread is a tender, wholesome, and rich banana-flavored loaf studded with dark chocolate chips. Made with almond flour and flaxseed meal, it’s naturally gluten-free and packed with healthy fats and fiber, making it perfect for breakfast, dessert, or snacking.

  • 3 very ripe medium bananas mashed (about 1 ¼ cups)
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups packed blanched fine almond flour
  • ½ cup flaxseed meal
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips (dairy-free if desired)
  • 2 tablespoons extra chocolate chips for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8.5 x 4.5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper and spray lightly with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, eggs, almond milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and well incorporated.
  3. Add the almond flour, flaxseed meal, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Mix gently with a wooden spoon until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in ½ cup dark chocolate chips, distributing them evenly throughout the batter.
  5. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Sprinkle the remaining 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips on top.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
