- 1 onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed if frozen
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground meat over medium-high heat until browned and crumbled, 5-7 minutes.
- Add the diced onion and garlic, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Season the meat mixture with thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Unroll the puff pastry sheet and place it into a 9-inch pie dish, pressing it into the sides and bottom.
- Spoon the seasoned meat mixture into the pastry-lined pie dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Fold the excess pastry over the filling to create a top crust. Crimp the edges to seal.
- Brush the top of the pie crust with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and flaky.
