Alfredo Sauce: Amazing Creamy Garlic Pasta in 15 Mins

  • Author: Jannet Lisa
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

This easy homemade Alfredo sauce is buttery, cheesy, and decadently creamy. Made with heavy cream, Parmesan, and a hint of garlic, it’s ready in under 15 minutes. Perfect over fettuccine or drizzled on roasted veggies, this classic white sauce is pure comfort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the heavy cream and cream cheese. Whisk until melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in the garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Continue whisking until well combined.
  4. Add the Parmesan cheese gradually and whisk until fully melted and smooth.
  5. Simmer for 3–5 minutes, stirring frequently, until slightly thickened.
  6. Serve immediately over your favorite pasta or other dishes.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest texture.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk to loosen.
  • Don’t let it boil—gentle simmering keeps it creamy, not grainy.
