Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Remove tri-tip from refrigerator 15 minutes before cooking to bring to room temperature.
- Pat tri-tip completely dry with paper towels. Rub olive oil all over the surface, then massage steak seasoning and crushed garlic into every surface.
- Place seasoned tri-tip in air fryer basket fat-side down. Cook for 12 minutes at 400°F without flipping.
- Carefully flip the tri-tip using tongs. Continue cooking for 10-15 minutes more until internal temperature reaches 125°F for medium-rare (130-135°F), 135-145°F for medium.
- Remove tri-tip when it reaches 5°F below target temperature. Tent with foil and rest for 10 minutes minimum.
- Slice against the grain at a 45-degree angle, about ¼-inch thick slices.
