Ingredients

  • 4 slices Good quality bread (e.g., Sourdough, White, Brioche)
  • 46 slices Melting cheese (e.g., Cheddar, American, Provolone, Gruyère) OR 4-6 oz shredded cheese
  • 23 tablespoons Mayonnaise OR Softened Unsalted Butter
  • Optional: Pinch Garlic Powder

Instructions

  1. Spread a thin, even layer of mayonnaise or softened butter edge-to-edge on ONE side of each bread slice.
  2. Layer cheese(s) onto the un-spread side of two bread slices. Top with the remaining slices, ensuring the mayo/butter side faces outwards.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 370°F (185°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Carefully place sandwiches in the preheated basket (single layer, no overlap). Air fry at 370°F (185°C) for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Gently flip sandwiches using a spatula. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the second side is golden brown and cheese is fully melted.
  6. Remove from air fryer and let rest for 1-2 minutes before slicing and serving immediately.
