Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings, split at joints, tips discarded
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken wings with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
- In a small bowl, combine baking powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the wings and toss until all wings are evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the seasoned wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry at 380°F for 12 minutes, then flip the wings and increase the temperature to 400°F (204°C). Continue cooking for another 6-8 minutes.
- Check that the internal temperature has reached 165°F (74°C).
- Transfer the wings to a serving platter and let them rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.
- For the best crispiness, ensure the wings are completely dry before seasoning.

- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce like ranch or blue cheese dressing.
